KIDS FIRST Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) - Full Day

"KIDS FIRST" is Livonia Public Schools' Great Start Readiness Program. Children must be four years old by September 1 of the school year to be considered for enrollment.

Children are selected through an application process consisting of developmental screenings, documented child/family factors and needs, along with parent input. The number of children enrolled each year is determined by funding received from the Department of Education Office of Early Childhood and Family Services.

Developmentally appropriate activities are planned using a research based comprehensive curriculum. Parent input is a key component of the program. Parents are encouraged to be involved in planning classroom activities, parent meetings and workshops.

Children attend a full day, Monday-Thursday during the school year.
