Good afternoon, Garfield Families,
Lost and Found
Our clothing and miscellaneous item collection is growing. Please stop by and check out the Lost and Found articles. If you are missing something, have your child check it out, or make plans to stop by during conferences. The Lost and Found rack is located just outside the LMC, off the lobby.

This fall Garfield decided to add Earbuds/Headphones to your child’s suggested school supply lists. If at all possible, and you haven’t done so yet, please send in a set for your child. The headphones will be kept in a baggie with your child’s name, here at school. They will be sent home at the end of the year. Our students have several opportunities to use computers, iPads, and Chromebooks, and having their own earbuds would not only be hygienic, but also benefit their learning. When choosing a pair, please make sure they fit your child comfortably.

Canned Good Donations The canned good donation drive for Goodfellows ends today (Friday, Oct. 21). Thank you so much for your generosity with this effort! We collected over 1,000 cans, and Mrs. Rollins’ class is this year’s recipient of the Canley Cup! Congratulations!

Kiwanis Shoe Drive The Kiwanis Shoe Drive continues through the end of November. Clean out your closets, collect from family and friends, and drop off your old, used shoes! Each classroom has a Shoe Leader helping to keep track of the number of pairs brought in. It’s for a good cause, and we appreciate your participation.

Cold Weather is coming! Make sure to dress your children appropriately for the weather! Jackets, gloves, and hats (labeled with your child’s name) are a great idea!

Have a wonderful weekend, Mrs. Kohler
