PBIS Activities
The PBIS team puts together school wide activities for students each month. These activities may include Fall Dances, Winter Dance/Activities, Valentine's Day Dance, and the end of the year Cook Out. Students have opportunities to dance in the gym, play games, relax in the student lounge, use the computer, and watch seasonal movies.
Victor's Day
Garfield travels to Ann Arbor once a year for their Annual Victor's Day! Every year, the T Wall Foundation puts this event on. This even brings together Michigan and EMU Athletes and students from all over. Students go through different stations to meet athletes, play games, and learn different sports. Garfield is lucky to be invited to this event every year!
Craft Shows
Garfield classes highlight their products twice a year at our popular craft shows in December and May. The show features products such as crafts, baked goods, plants, yard art and ceramics from Wood Shop, Culinary Arts, Life Skills and other classes from Garfield. Our successful micro-business program, Au-Some Student Designs and Skill-full Designs also sell their handmade signage, trays, string and paper art home decor as well as refinished furniture. All items are handmade and crafted by students. Plan on stopping by to see the many wonderful items available!
