Lauren Feigel

Greetings!
It is an honor to introduce myself as the principal of Garfield Skills Center & Livonia Transition Program and to join this extraordinary school community.

Our programs have
dedicated, talented members committed to doing what is in the best interest of our students. I will
continue to put students first and work diligently to ensure their success. I feel very fortunate to be part of these programs and to support the students and families.

My professional background is rooted in special education, leadership, and school psychology. For the past 17 years, I have worked in public education as a leader, school psychologist, intake coordinator, PBIS coach and principal. This is my first year in Livonia Public Schools,
and I look forward to using these collective experiences as your new principal.

In addition to my professional achievements, my greatest accomplishment is my family. I am a
wife to my loving, supportive husband, Allen Feigel, who is also an educator and coach at Churchill High School and a mother to two amazing little boys, Boden (7), and Behren (5). Also,
I have a 41-year-old sister with Down syndrome (Lindsay), who graduated from the Western Wayne Skills Center and continues to reside with my mother in Livonia. As a sibling, I always want what is best for young adults and will work tirelessly to ensure your student has the best possible experiences within our programs.

I am committed to embracing the positive traditions and practices that are already in place while working diligently to ensure success for the future. I believe all students should receive an exemplary education in an environment that is safe and conducive to learning. Together, we can help our students excel and provide them with an education that is second to
none.

My door is always open to you, and I sincerely welcome your input and support. I am excited about all we will accomplish together for our students and look forward to celebrating our collective success this school year.

Kind regards,

Lauren Feigel
